Artist and the Machine returns to Los Angeles on December 2, bringing together 500 artists, founders, and leaders from entertainment, media, tech, and AI. Among the Summit’s speakers is will.i.am, who will join director Jason Zada for a closing conversation on the evolving relationship between director and creative director as AI changes how ideas move from concept to screen.
With Adobe as Presenting Creative Partner, this Summit follows three sold-out editions and will focus on the questions currently reshaping creative industries, from artist rights and intellectual property, to AI in Hollywood, immersive entertainment, gaming, music, and physical AI.
AI, Art, Entertainment, Music, and Robotics
Dar Sleeper of 1X joins Bloomberg Media for “Humanoid Design.” Michael Nash, Chief Digital Officer of Universal Music Group, explores creativity and artist rights, while Meow Wolf founder Vincent Kadlubek takes on experiential worldbuilding. Additional speakers include Jo Shoesmith of Amazon, Behnaz Farahi of MIT Media Lab, artists Kelly Boesch and Gossip Goblin, and more to be announced. Sessions also feature Presenting Creative Partner Adobe, AIR, Amazon Design, Artlist, Bloomberg Media, Epidemic Sound, LTX, Luma, Nebius, NVIDIA & HP, and more.
“We’ve moved really quickly from people experimenting with AI around the edges to these tools starting to reshape entire creative systems. What we are most interested in now at Artist and the Machine is what happens when the people with the strongest taste and point of view also understand how to build with the technology,” said Dani Van de Sande, CEO and Founder of Artist and the Machine. “As execution becomes more abundant, taste and discernment become more valuable. We’re seeing brands turn their creative DNA into systems, filmmakers build at a scale that used to require much larger teams and budgets, and artists move between mediums that once required completely different technical skill sets. That changes what a creative team looks like, where the value sits, and ultimately what it means to be an artist. That’s the conversation we want to get into in LA.”
Grimes headlined the last Artist and the Machine Summit in Los Angeles, which brought together speakers and attendees from Apple, CAA, ElevenLabs, Google, Google DeepMind, Lionsgate, Lovable, Meta, Microsoft, NASA JPL, Netflix, NVIDIA, Paramount, Replit, Spotify, Universal Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, and many more.
Day Two Moves From Conversation Into Creation
Artist and the Machine extends its Los Angeles program into a second day with the debut of Studio Day, taking place December 3 at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion. The invitation-only program will bring participants into six creative challenges, salons, and hands-on masterclasses designed to move beyond discussion and into active experimentation and collaboration. Studio Day partners include Adobe for Startups, Luma, and Artlist, with additional partners to be announced. Artist and the Machine Summit in Los Angeles takes place December 2, 2026, followed by Studio Day on December 3, 2026.
