Two-Year Anniversary Brings Monthly Practice Plans at $19/Month

Outflow Studio Turns Two and Launches Structured Monthly Yoga Plans for Active Adults

Outflow Studio is marking its second year in business with a new offering: monthly practice plans priced at $19 per month, available now with a 7-day free trial. The launch gives active adults – runners, cyclists, hikers, lifters, skiers, and snowboarders – a structured way to integrate yoga into their existing training without rebuilding a routine from scratch.

A Structured Alternative to Class-by-Class Guesswork

The monthly practice plans are built around a straightforward premise: yoga should work like a training program, not a playlist. Each plan lays out two to three sessions per week, running 10 to 30 minutes each, with sessions that build on one another over time. The goal is to remove decision fatigue – the friction that often derails consistency – by telling members exactly what to do and when.

This approach sits at the center of what Outflow Studio calls progressive yoga, a method where sequencing, intensity, and skill demands increase incrementally across a plan rather than resetting with every standalone class. Members who follow the structure consistently are working toward specific physical outcomes: improved mobility, better movement mechanics, and stronger balance – all areas that directly affect performance for runners, cyclists, hikers, and others who train regularly.

New members can begin with the Foundations plan, a four-week introductory program designed to establish baseline movement patterns before progressing into other monthly plans. It serves as an entry point for active adults who are new to yoga or returning after time away.

Two Years, One Online Platform

Founded by Heather Blackmon, Outflow Studio launched as a global online platform. The two-year mark represents both a business milestone and a natural inflection point for the studio to formalize what had been an informal practice philosophy into an affordable, repeatable structure.

Blackmon brings a cross-disciplinary background that shapes how Outflow Studio approaches yoga for active adults. She holds credentials as an RYT-500 yoga instructor, ASSI Level 1 snowboard instructor, BICP Level 1 cycling coach, along with a background as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, USATF run coach, and USA Triathlon coach. She also brings this diverse background of movement coaching to her work – a foundation that informs how she teaches body awareness and movement efficiency.

“We hit our two-year mark and I wanted the next phase to reflect what actually works for the people we serve,” said Heather Blackmon, Founder of Outflow Studio. “The monthly practice plans are built on the same logic as any solid training block – 10 to 30 minutes, 2 to 3 times a week, with each session building toward something. That structure is what helps people stay consistent and see results.”

Designed Around the People Who Show Up

The target audience for yoga for active adults at Outflow Studio is specific by design. The studio does not position its programming as a general wellness offering. Instead, it is built for people who already have an active lifestyle – the hiker preparing for a long season, the runner or cyclist managing hip tightness, the skier or snowboarder looking for a mobility edge during the winter months.

Student Steph D. described her experience: “My yoga practice has transformed since working with Heather. I can now do poses like crow, headstand, and handstand, and my flow feels smoother and stronger.”

The $19 per month membership with a 7-day trial reflects a pricing decision to keep the barrier low enough that active adults can test the method before committing. Outflow Studio operates on the assumption that the structure itself will demonstrate value more effectively than a promotional pitch.
