MyFreeScoreNow announced it is the first credit monitoring site to provide consumers without Social Security numbers with online access to credit reports and scores from all three major credit bureaus – Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Enabled through full compatibility with Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs), this platform enhancement expands access to credit monitoring services and financial tools for millions of consumers who have historically been underserved by traditional online credit platforms.
ITINs, issued by the Internal Revenue Service, are used by individuals who are required to comply with U.S. tax laws but are not eligible for a Social Security Number. Since their introduction, more than 31 million ITINs have been issued, with approximately 5 million currently active as of March 2026. In Calendar Year 2025 alone, 469,888 ITINs were issued, underscoring the size and continued growth of this population. Consumers using ITINs contribute significantly to the U.S. economy, with estimated tax contributions exceeding $100 billion annually at the federal, state and local levels.
Despite representing a substantial segment of the U.S. population, ITIN holders have historically faced significant barriers to accessing their credit reports and scores online. Without these resources, many have been limited in their ability to understand, build and manage their credit, restricting their ability to secure loans, obtain housing, access competitive financial products and fully participate in the broader U.S. economy. ITIN holder consumers also face a lack of mainstream mortgage financing, a majority of whom are Latino.
Until now, two of the three major credit bureaus required ITIN-based credit information requests to be submitted through traditional mail, with response also delivered through mail, creating delays and limiting access to timely financial information. With this new capability, MyFreeScoreNow supports ITIN-based users directly on its platform, providing immediate online access to credit data, monitoring tools and educational resources that empower individuals to take greater control of their financial future.
“This is about access and inclusion,” said Bruce Cornelius, CEO of MyFreeScoreNow. “For too long, millions of individuals who actively participate in the U.S. economy have been underserved when it comes to understanding and managing their credit. By enabling ITIN compatibility, we are removing a significant barrier and ensuring more people have the tools they need to succeed financially.”
The introduction of ITIN compatibility represents a major step forward in MyFreeScoreNow’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer-centric product development. The company’s platform continues to evolve with new tools, enhanced features and expanded capabilities designed to meet the needs of a diverse and growing customer base.
“We are continually looking for ways to make our platform more accessible and more impactful,” Cornelius added. “This enhancement reflects both the strength of our technology and our commitment to meeting customers where they are, with solutions that are practical, relevant and easy to use.”
Beyond expanding access for individual users, the new functionality also creates meaningful opportunities for MyFreeScoreNow’s partners and affiliates, enabling them to reach broader audiences and better serve communities that have traditionally been difficult to engage through conventional credit platforms.
